PRO AND CONS OF PURCHASE PRESIDENTIAL  AIRCRAFT

PRO

·         By purchasing a presidential aircraft, although the price of Rp 814 billion, the state will save more when compared to renting a plane as has been done so far. Precisely cheaper $ 32.136 million (USD 289.63 billion) than the cost of renting the presidential plane for five years.

·         President as a symbol of state, Indonesia is rich, the facility must also be a good president.

·         Charter flight safety standards and facilities are far different from the special aircraft.

·         Give confidence to foreign countries that make our country stronger economically.

·         The next president will be easy to negotiate with any country because our country can not be underestimated.

·         Indonesia is a big country and in the future will be even greater influence in the world. Therefore required a head of state who have very high mobility and efficiency of the time anyway, if only relying on a charter flight can definitely be a lot of wasted time on a business trip without being able to do anything.

CONS

·         A waste.

·         Every purchase of capital and interest is always calculated.

·         Operational costs.

·         Care costs, including a calendar-based treatments should be done even if the aircraft is not used.

·         Benefits are the use of aircraft is the most only a few times a month plus the revenue of the selling price of the aircraft if it is not used anymore.

·         If the lease of state-owned Garuda which is meant to give additional income to the state-owned Garuda which means returning to the state.

·         By hiring, the state is not bothered with aircraft maintenance, pilot salaries, salary waiter. With the purchase, the state would be bothered with maintenance problems, pilot and crew salaries, hangar leases aircraft parking.

·         We lose by buying foreign exchange to pay for an outside company.

·         Presidential aircraft as a matter of prestige alone.

·         These aircraft will more often make the President a walk out of the country and this will not benefit many of the people of Indonesia as long as it has always failed diplomacy.

·         Not the aircraft that should make us proud, we should be proud of the fundamental things of a country, such as equitable economic welfare, fair law enforcement, and the low number of corruption.
